Kelly And Greg – San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Radiant, and rainy. Two adjectives which describe my first wedding of 2012! It’s always an enormous honor when a friend asks you to shoot their wedding, in this case I was very touched when Kelly and Greg decided to book me for this day at city hall. We began with the appointment for their license, and in no time at all were standing in the Rotunda, surrounded by their closest friends and the officiant (who was absolutely lovely!). After, we headed up to the 3rd floor to take advantage of the incredible light up there for some portraits of the couple and their attendants.

I love Kelly’s 1930’s inspired dress and hat so much that I couldn’t resist processing a number of their images in velvety black and white – some of these shots remind me of my grandmother’s wedding album images, which were a big inspiration to me growing up.

A Winter Solstice Commitment Ceremony…

My partner and I hosted our close family to witness our commitment ceremony yesterday.

I feel so very lucky to get to spend my life with this adorable guy.

Tons of photos were taken by a good friend, the ring shots are by me. It was a lot of fun to photograph the details of my own wedding!

Our flowers were by Studio Choo, rings by Sarah Graham

Point Reyes Wedding Flashback – Liz and Nathaniel

As the days grow shorter, and booking begins in earnest for next years wedding season, I’m feeling nostalgic for these bright summer days filled with flowers and sunshine. Full set of images from Liz and Nathaniel’s beautiful Pt. Reyes wedding can be viewed here.

Berkeley Engagement Session – Whitney and Milos

A bit of rain didn’t take away from this engagement session in the Berkeley Rose Garden, although it did inspire us to venture indoors for a slice of a cake and a warm drink at the end.

Wedding Flashback, Jennifer and Ovais

One of my favorite shots of this couple in the rose garden outside of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Jennifer and Ovais were married this past June at the Fairmont Hotel.

Jody and Anthony’s Heavy Metal Super Hero Wedding

Jody and Anthony's Mendocino Wedding

This wedding was, in a word, epic. Jody and Anthony are both artists, music lovers, incredible dancers, and pretty much the nicest cool kids you’ll ever meet. They threw a weekend-long wedding party in the woods outside of Mendocino that began with a super-hero theme welcome dinner and ended with a heavy-metal Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday. And somewhere in the middle they got married.

The wedding location was deep in the woods outside of Mendocino, California. We arrived at the site and were given a cabin assignment, our official temporary tattoos, and a schedule of the weekend events.

Rachel and Joe’s Annapolis Wedding

What an epic day! I’ve known Joseph for over fourteen years – we met just before I moved to San Francisco, he’s since moved to Prague, and then to Amsterdam with his lovely wife, Rachel. This was actually their third wedding – they had a catholic ceremony in the UK, and a smaller ceremony in Amsterdam. That’s one way to get a lot of use out of a wedding dress! I’m honored they chose me as their photographer for the stateside ceremony, and I’m so happy for both of them.

Wedding Sneak Peek – Rachel and Joe

This was a whirlwind of a weekend! I flew out early last Saturday to Annapolis, shot the wedding Sunday, and was home by Monday at 10pm. Joe is one of my oldest friends from San Francisco, we first lost him when he moved to Prague, and he’s now firmly ensconced outside Amsterdam and happily married to his fantastic partner, Rachel.

So many more from this wedding to come. I’m off to shoot another one this weekend on the coast of Mendocino.
