Seattle Wedding, Jo and Branden
I felt so blessed that my cousin Branden and his fiancee Jo trusted me to document their beautiful urban Seattle wedding. Working with your own family could easily be stressful, but I can honestly say that Jo is one of the most relaxed and centered people I’ve ever met – her hair dresser overslept, so we wandered up to a nearby salon for a last moment booking with a stylist who did a terrific job. Jo and Brandon also have a terrific community of co-workers and longtime friends in Seattle, it was wonderful to meet everyone and reconnect with a few people I hadn’t seen since childhood! Enough about that, though, on with the photos…
More below the cut!
I absolutely loved Jo’s shoes!
Often we have some privacy for a couple’s first look at one another before the wedding, this was the exact opposite! Both sets of families were all hanging out in the hotel lobby and Jo and Branden were quickly surrounded by the paparazzi.
The Judge who conducted their civil ceremony was wonderful! She was welcoming to everyone, very kind, and made the experience feel very personal and meaningful.
Immediately after the ceremony Jo and Branden dashed off to their favorite Thai restaurant (the location of their first date!) for a bite to eat and a quick cocktail before doing some portraits around Pike’s Market.
Then it was time to head over to the Escala for their reception.
